Seven boys out of the roster of eighteen were invited to stay and continue training in hopes of making the regional team. With victories over Alaska, Cal North, Arizona, and Utah - Crossfire Premier met Cal South's Real So Cal Blue in the finals where they proved they were the best with a 3-0 win.

| Washington Youth Soccer Names Terry Fisher Executive Director Tuesday, June 02, 2009 FEDERAL WAY, WASH. (June 1) – Washington Youth Soccer President Doug Andreassen announced Monday that Terry Fisher has been named the association’s Executive Director, effective immediately. As Executive Director, Fisher will oversee all day-to-day operations of the sixth-largest state youth soccer association under the US Youth Soccer umbrella, including budget, operations, tournaments and office management. Each team wishing to participate in the league must submit an online application by the entry deadline of June 30, 2009. For more information and to submit an application to participate in the State League please check out the League web page. | Interstate Travel Agreement Approved Friday, May 29, 2009 On May 20th, 2009 Washington, Idaho and Oregon Youth Soccer entered into an interstate travel agreement for team travel. This agreement grants permission to our member teams to travel between and among Washington, Idaho and Oregon, without having to submit travel papers. Washington approves law that prohibits sports play after concussion
Experts say: “When in doubt, sit them out” OLYMPIA – The Brain Injury Association of Washington (BIAWA) today applauded Gov. Christine Gregoire for signing the nation’s toughest return-to-play law, requiring medical clearance of youth athletes suspected of sustaining a concussion, before sending them back in the game, practice or training.
